Vanessa Hernandez is a classically-trained soprano singer based in Toronto with a seriously beautiful voice. She came to me looking for help with positioning her music services professionally. We created an elegant brand and website that reflect her higher-end wedding singing services, as well as showcase Vanessa's personality.
Stained glass as brand identity
During our initial brand interview, Vanessa mentioned she mostly sings for religious weddings but didn't want her branding to be outright religious. She compared it to stained glass in a cathedral - while it's in a religious context, it can be admired by anyone.
I immediately started exploring the idea of making a logo representing stained glass. Our final logo includes Vanessa's intials - 'vh' - as the binding holding together pieces of stained glass, contained in a circle.
Paired with a muted, darker colour scheme and a serif font, the logomark is elegant and handcrafted, reflecting Vanessa's background and services with subtle symbolism.
Clean and bold website design
We translated the branding vision into a clean and elegant website. Since Vanessa's wedding cantor services are largely based on her performances and personality, we used large professional photos of her as the centerpiece of every page, showing her in action and conveying her friendly personality.

The strategic goals of the website were to give visitor's a sense of Vanessa and her style, to provide social proof in the form of testimonials, and to encourage potential clients to reach out an book a consultation.
